In commemoration of the establishement of the University of Lithuania, the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania announced 2022 as the Year of Lithuanian Universities.
It is 20 years since the Lithuanian Scientific Libraries Association (LMBA) was founded, which organizes information resources for scientific research.
The Library of Vilnius Gediminas University of Technology (VILNIUS TECH) celebrates its 60th anniversary.
In order to commemorate these important dates for the Lithuanian scientific community, LMBA, in cooperation with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Elsevier, is organizing an experience seminar „Elsevier book author workshop: How to publish a book in the digital age“ and a special discussion „Towards future research impact in Lithuania“ which will take place on 2022 October 18 in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), Saulėtekio al. 11.
The purpose of the event is to assess the current state of scientific research in Lithuania and discuss future prospects. During the event, a report summarizing the research results of the last decade will be presented, the future research strategies of universities, the development of open access and open science, etc. will be discussed. Awards will also be presented at the event to honor Lithuanian specialists who have contributed to the development of science in Lithuania.
