This year, the VILNIUS TECH Tourist Club celebrates a special occasion – its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1974 on May 31, the club has spent half a century bringing together like-minded individuals who enjoy active leisure. Adventures, challenges, nature in all its diversity, and friendships are what unite the club members. One of the club's main goals is to promote active and accessible leisure, to create and gather an active community.

The club can be proud of significant sports achievements, from victories in mountain travel technique competitions to challenging mountain hikes. Much of the club's history has been preserved in photos, articles, and reports, which are currently exhibited on the second floor of the Central Library.
