Young researchers are invited to participate in the training course "Science without borders: effective communication and creative collaboration"
The Young Academy of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences, together with the Lithuanian Journalism Centre and VILNIUS TECH, invites PhD students and early-career researchers to the workshop SCIENCE WITHOUT BORDERS: EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND CREATIVE COLLABORATION.
The event program includes the scientific communication ecosystem, storytelling techniques, practical ABT (and, but, therefore) tasks, and networking. The training will be conducted in English.
Date: Friday, 28 November 2025
Time: 9:00–14:30
Venue: VILNIUS TECH LinkMenų fabrikas (Linkmenų g. 28, Vilnius)
The workshop will be led by Lithuanian Journalism Centre experts: Goda Raibytė-Aleksa, a science communicator and journalist & Dr Džina Donauskaitė, media and communication researcher.
Registration is open until 21 November on a first-come, first-served basis. Places are limited. Participants will receive certificates.
Fee: EUR 15. Payment and logistic details will be sent to the registered participants via email.

- 9:00 Scientific communication ecosystem (30 min.).
- 9:30 Storytelling techniques: presentation of the ABT method (30 min.).
- Break (30 min.).
- 10:30 Practical ABT tasks in groups (2.5 hours).
- I. Individualized ABT task (25 min.).
- II. Creation of a joint interdisciplinary project idea (25 min.).
- III. Group ABT (25 min.).
- Break (30 min.).
- 12.15 Presentation and discussion, recommendations, summary (1.15 hours).
- 13.30 Networking.
