“TOKS” Scholarship Awarded to a Student of the Logistics and Transport Management Programme
On the 7th of November, the scholarship established by UAB “Tolimojo keleivinio transporto kompanija” (UAB “TOKS”) was awarded at the VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Transport Engineering. The scholarship recipient is Benas Mikulskis, a first-year student of the Logistics and Transport Management study programme.
The scholarship amounts to EUR 3,000 per year. This year’s recipient was selected based on admission results – Benas Mikulskis achieved the highest entry score among all newly admitted students in the programme.
The cooperation between the Faculty and UAB “TOKS” will continue in the coming years. Starting from 2026, the company’s scholarship will be awarded to the best-performing student in the programme, based on academic results, thereby encouraging excellence and professional growth.
The award ceremony took place in the format of a roundtable discussion, attended by VILNIUS TECH Rector Prof. Dr. Romualdas Kliukas, UAB “TOKS” CEO Valentinas Belousovas, Head of Human Resources Justina Šapokienė, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Engineering Prof. Dr. Olegas Prentkovskis, Vice-Dean for Studies and International Relations Prof. Dr. Edgar Sokolovskij, and Vice-Dean for Alumni and Partnership Assoc. Prof. Dr. Giedrius Garbinčius.
The participants discussed the growing need for logistics and transport professionals, as well as the importance of knowledge and competencies in the passenger transport sector.
UAB “TOKS” is one of the largest and longest-operating intercity passenger transport companies in Lithuania, successfully providing services for almost 30 years. The company offers intercity and international passenger transport, bus rental, technical maintenance, and other related services, and in recent years has been actively investing in sustainable transport solutions.
Congratulations to Benas Mikulskis, and sincere thanks to UAB “TOKS” for their valuable contribution to the development of young logistics and transport professionals and for supporting the academic community.
