International Conference “Business and Management’ 2016”
The 9th International Scientific Conference 'Business and Management' 2016 has been held at the Faculty of Business Management at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University on May 12–13.
74 presentations were announced (42 of them from foreign participants), the Conference attracted participants from the following countries: Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Iran, Poland, Latvia, China, Portugal, Colombia, etc.
International Scientific Committee from nearly 100 submitted articles selected the best meeting the highest scientific standards. Articles were published online in open-access edition 'Open Books' (for more information please refer to Http://openbooks.vgtu.lt/index.php/technika/catalog/book/47 ) and will be provided for inclusion to 'ISI Proceedings' editions at international databases.
The conference took place in several stages. At the plenary meeting on May 12 the following presentations were performed:

- Manuela Tvaronaviciene 'ENERGY SECURITY AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY ISSUES: HOUSEHOLD PERSPECTIVE IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES'
- Joanicjusz Nazarko, Katarzyna Czerewacz-Filipowicz, Katarzyna Anna Kuźmicz 'THE NEW SILK ROAD - ANALYSIS OF THE POTENTIAL OF NEW EURASIAN TRANSPORT CORRIDOR'
- Valerijs Skribans, Maris Balodis 'DEVELOPMENT OF THE LATVIAN ENERGY SECTOR COMPETITIVENESS SYSTEM DYNAMIC MODEL'
- Vida Davidaviciene 'DIGITAL PROFILE OF COUNTRY: LITHUANIA IN WORLD CONTEXT'
After the plenary meeting Conference guests attended special sections reflecting their interests of research and had scientific discussions there.
On the second day of the Conference (on May 13) social program was organised to the Old Town of Vilnius.
Business Management Faculty organizes three scientific conferences:
- International Scientific Conference 'Business and Management',
- International Scientific Conference 'Contemporary Issues in Business, Management and Education',
- Lithuanian Conference of Young Scientists 'Science - Future of Lithuania. Business in XXI century'.
Participation at the conferences is a great opportunity to meet researchers, colleagues and to create new relations for possible cooperation.
