Representatives of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) participated in the conference in Moldova
On the 25th of July, partners and experts from Lithuania, Estonia with high-level participants from Moldovan Border Police, participated in the final conference in Chisinau (Moldova). Andrius Ušinskas and Lina Bakšienė represented Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and shared their knowledge in offering strategical steps to implement the project.
The „Novel concept of relocatable aerial surveillance for border security“ project is implemented by the Lithuanian Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech) in cooperation with the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (EASS). The project aims to strengthen Moldova’s aerial border surveillance capability to counter irregular border crossings and associated risks.
All project participants were invited and welcomed by ambassador Tadas Valionis to an official reception at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova. Further issues of cooperation were discussed.
*The project „Novel concept of relocatable aerial surveillance for border security“ is awarded and contracted in the framework of the Migration Partnership Facility (MPF), an EU-funded initiative implemented by ICMPD in support of the external dimension of the EU migration policy.
