VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Architecture kindly invites to the Open lecture "Stress and Children—Playgrounds to Build Physiological and Psychological Resilience in Children's Capacity" by prof. dr. David Watts (Cal Poly) on 19 June 18:30
David Watts is a Professor in the Landscape Architecture department, and received his MSLA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a registered landscape architect with over 25 years of practice, operating a design/build firm in Madison, WI. He has traveled, taught, and worked abroad in France and South Africa. His area of research is children’s play environments, their impact on child development, and their role in reconnecting children to nature. He was involved in planning for the re-design of the Child Development Preschool Laboratory playground on campus. Since arriving at Cal Poly, he has taught a variety of courses, from the senior design sequence, to the project design and implementation ILC, and the ecology ILC.
