10 October 2025 The Autumn Run of the FTMC, which has already become a tradition, took place in the Kairėnai Botanical Garden, bringing together the staff of the academic community. Although it was rainy on Friday morning, this did not prevent the 63 participants, runners and walkers, from gathering in good spirits.
The event was initiated a few years ago by the Physical and Technological Sciences Centre (FTSC) and was joined by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Vilnius University.
Participants could choose from several courses:
3 km, 6 km, or 9 km
- 3 km walking course Interestingly,
The longest distance - 9 km - was chosen by the largest number of runners, while almost half of the participants chose to walk, some of them with Nordic walking sticks.
After completing the course, the participants were able to mingle with each other while enjoying hot tea and soldier's porridge.
The event proved once again that sport and community can overcome even rough weather!
