In recent years Estonia has taken steps to establish itself as a platform for deep tech startups. The purpose of the country's action plan is to encourage a supportive environment for the deep tech industry, targeting the creation of 500 startups by 2030. The plan includes doubling the number of deep tech projects by 2025 and quintuple by 2030. It is noteworthy that Estonian deep tech companies attracted nearly 175 million euros last year, through 15 transactions, indicating strong growth in the sector.

EIT Digital, Europe's leading digital technology innovation and education organization, will host DeepEST Forum 2024 on the afternoon of January 24. DeepEST is a half-day hybrid event (watchable online and on-site) that will bring together a diverse group of experts, from deep tech entrepreneurs and investors to IP commercialization specialists.
