Exhibition "Students for Vilnius City" is open at Vilnius City Municipality
On the occasion of the International Day of Architects, the community of the Faculty of Architecture of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) presented an exhibition of students' works at Vilnius City Municipality.
VILNIUS TECH students' work invites us to look at Vilnius from different angles: to admire its uniqueness, to notice the forgotten, to solve real problems and to dare to dream. The exhibition "Students for Vilnius City" presents works of architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, sculpture, art and other student works created in recent years for the city of Vilnius.
"With the exhibition "Students for the City of Vilnius" we want to celebrate the friendship between the city and the university, to highlight the importance of cooperation with the municipality, city communities and businesses in educating the creators of tomorrow. This is not the first time that we have organised an exhibition of student works on the theme of Vilnius City. However, this is the first time we are exhibiting not only architectural, urban design and landscape architecture projects, but also art and composition works created by students. For us, the city of Vilnius is not only a place of work or study, but also an inexhaustible source of inspiration", - says the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture assoc. prof. dr. Liutauras Nekrošius.
Exhibition "Students for Vilnius City" opens wide the doors to studies in VILNIUS TECH. It is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the multi-layered nature of art studies and to feel their meaning in the real world - the city of Vilnius.
Participants of the exhibition: Vakarė Budrytė, Aurimas Degutis, Lina Jankūnaitė, Rokas Jonušas, Justina Jurkštienė, Gabrielė Karžinauskaitė, Guostė Kiaunytė, Evelina Kovalevskaja, Raimonda Kubiliūtė, Augustas Lapinskas, Justina Lenauskienė, Karolina Mačiulskaitė, Dovilė Mažeikienė, Grasilda Mintaučkytė, Aušrinė Neniškytė, Agna Petkevičiūtė, Oskar Sevruk, Vaiva Sviderskytė, Žanas Užalinskas, Vaida Vaitkevičiūtė, Greta Vasiliauskaitė, Jonas Vyšniauskas, Akvilė Zajančauskaitė.
The exhibition is open and free of charge for all at the 2nd floor foyer of Vilnius City Hall until 22 July.
