Achievements
One of the most significant achievements of the Faculty during the period of 2006-2010 is the Ministry of Education and Science first prize award to higher education textbooks authors, who have been praised for the originality of textbooks, the quality of information, wide adaptability, excellent teaching methodology, systematicity, presentation and other characteristics.
In 2007, the first prize was awarded to the Department of Automation Prof. Emeritus Algirdas Smilgevičius for the higher education textbook "Automation Micromotors" - this is the first Lithuanian textbook of this kind in the field. The textbook that highlights the latest Lithuanian and foreign scientific research results in the Micromotors area.
In 2006, the first prize was awarded to Vilnius Tech Vice-Rector for Science, the Department of Electronic Systems Prof. Emeritus Raimundas Kirvaitis and the head of the Department Prof. Romanas Martavičius for the higher education textbook "Analog Electronics" (2003).
In 2007, the first prize was awarded to the Department of Electronic Systems Prof. Zenonas Vainoris for the higher education textbook "Waves Electronics" (2007).
In 2008, the first prize was awarded to the Department of Electronic Systems Prof. Emeritus Stanislovas Štaras for the higher education textbook "Semiconductor and Functional Electronic Devices" (2005).
