Exploring Aviation and Space: A Journey of Innovation
On April 12th, we honor International Aviation and Space Day, commemorating Yuri Gagarin's historic journey into space in 1961. Lithuania's interest in space has surged since its admission as an associate member of the European Space Agency (ESA), opening doors for Lithuanians to participate in astronaut selection processes. VILNIUS TECH's Antanas Gustaitis Aviation Institute plays a vital role in nurturing Lithuania's space capabilities through aeronautical engineering programs. Initiatives like NanoAvionics, which developed Lithuania's first satellite, showcase the country's growing presence in the space industry. As we mark this day, we celebrate Lithuania's contributions to space exploration and look forward to a future of continued progress and innovation.
To celebrate the occasion, VILNIUS TECH community members are invited to explore the field of aviation. We would like to present 10 books on this topic, available at ebooks.vilniustech.lt

The VILNIUS TECH institutional members can access the e-books free of charge by logging on to the University's computer network and from home by connecting to the VILNIUS TECH network via VPN.
For offline reading, the offline IPC Reader application must be installed and the selected books must be downloaded to the reader while connected to the institutional network. The books can then be read offline later. For more information on e-books, please refer to >>>
