DOCTORAL DISSERTATIONS

VILNIUS TECH organizes doctoral studies in 11 areas of technology, social science, natural sciences, and the humanities. A doctoral degree may be awarded to a person who has successfully completed doctoral studies and defended a doctoral dissertation. This publication consists of the text of the dissertation and the summary.
VILNIUS TECH Book publishing department checks the text of the dissertation and the summary for plagiarism. VILNIUS TECH Book publishing department informs the VILNIUS TECH Department of Doctoral Studies about the results if the similarity index exceeds 30% or the similarity score with another source exceeds 10%.
The publishing process starts after the VILNIUS TECH Rector signs the order approving the defence of the dissertation. The dissertation is formatted and printed as a book (A5 + format, edition of 20 copies) (except the cases where the doctoral dissertation is submitted as a monograph or as a collection of articles) according to the dissertation layout template prepared by a VILNIUS TECH. Draft of the doctoral dissertation in Lithuanian and English. The layout of the prepared dissertation is coordinated with the Department of Doctoral Studies.
No later than 30 calendar days before the defence of the dissertation, the dissertation is sent to the libraries of the institutions of joint doctoral studies and a copy of the dissertation is sent to each member of the defence board.
