VILNIUS TECH Invites Future Researchers To Doctoral Studies
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) invites you to pursue a doctoral degree. One of the main advantages of doctoral studies is the freedom to create and apply solutions that change the world.
Doctoral studies are the space of transformation, where curiosity and knowledge-based leadership unfold, real-world challenges are solved. Future developers can expect scientific research, conferences, an international community of scholars, a doctoral summer schools and internships at foreign universities. In order to encourage active involvement of young researchers and ensure the quality of research conducted, faculties offer a career path as a junior research fellow.
Doctoral activities are inseparable from innovation, technological, economic, and social progress, collaboration with businesses. The third-cycle studies help to make researchers capable of independently conducting scientific research and solving scientific problems, therefore, VILNIUS TECH invites motivated and future-oriented researchers meeting the formal requirements for the candidates to doctoral studies.
Most of the university’s scientific community is focused on applied engineering sciences and technology-based studies, which leads to the fact that the majority of doctoral students (77%) are of technological sciences and the number of applicants to doctoral studies is constantly increasing. The studies are international, currently about 25% of young researchers from foreign countries are enrolled at VILNIUS TECH.
VILNIUS TECH offers doctoral studies in 12 fields of science:
Admission to doctoral studies will take place in June, but preparation for admission can start now. You can find proposed dissertation topics and supervisors here.
Doctoral students studying in state-funded study places receive a doctoral scholarship. The scholarship for the 1st year of doctoral studies is 1045 Euros, for the 2nd–4th year – 1210 Euros.
