Current research fields in our department:
- Electromagnetic field analysis: EMC dynamics and higienic norms compliance in developing cellulal networks;
- Quality of Service in Next Generation telecommunications networks: measurement criteria and supervision methodology;
- Safety and resilience of Internet infrastructure;
- Cognitive Radio: business concepts, EMC and regulatory aspects, prototyping.

- COST Action IC0905: Techno-Economic Regulatory Framework for Radio spectrum Access for Cognitive Radio/Software Defined Radio (TERRA). Duration – 2010–2014. Project founder and coordinating entity - VGTU TED, Chairman of the Management Committee: Dr. Arturas Medeisis. Other TED's participants: Arunas Šaltis, Gintarė Sukarevičienė, Evaldas Stankevičius, Karolis Žvinys, Vaidas Banevičius.
- COST Action IC0906: Wireless Networking for Moving Objects (WINEMO). Duration – 2011-2014. VGTU TED's participants: Algimantas Kajackas, Aurimas Anskaitis, Šarūnas Stanaitis, Karolis Mikėnas.
In 2013 our department will assume role of co-organiser of Workshop on Spectrum Sharing Strategies for Wireless Broadband Services at the 24th Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor, and Mobile Radio Communications - 2013 (IEEE PIMRC'13).
Recently TED organized jointly with COST Actions IC0905 and IC0906 the 2nd Baltic Conference on Future Internet Communications.
