AccessEngineering database tool DataVis
AccessEngineering Database is a multi-award-winning engineering platform which provides access to a wide range of electronic resources, including books, visuals, graphs, charts and other analytical learning tools.
For the members of the VILNIUS TECH community, we would like to introduce DataVis, an interactive data visualisation tool, which will facilitate the analysis and understanding of the properties of materials (physical, mechanical, thermal, electronic, magnetic, and optical).
What is DataVis?
It is an interactive data visualisation tool covering 200 different materials and 65 of their properties. Through various functions, it is possible to explore material data, compare, group, search, and track everything visually, in charts.
How to start using this tool?
As with most databases, in order to have a more diverse range of options (saving, editing, sharing, etc.), it is advisable to create your account in AccessEngineering before starting to use this tool.
For a better understanding of how DataVis works, we recommend you familiarize yourself with the manual in the Lithuanian and/or English languages and watch the video on the YouTube channel. The HELP section of the AccessEngineering database page also contains important information on FAQs related to DataVis.
For visualisations that have already been developed, please see the DataVis Project Library material analyses that have been created as demos.
Additional DataVis features and capabilities
All content can be edited and created in your preferred form and saved in your account. It is also possible to upload text to DataVis projects and add links from AccessEngineering's electronic resources or other information sources. Projects can also be shared with colleagues, exported to an excel spreadsheet, created and saved in pdf format.
Please note that access is available via the VILNIUS TECH computer network and a remote VPN connection.
When connecting to a VPN service, two-factor authentication (i.e. authentication via a mobile app or a call) is required for additional security.
