The Department of Architecture Fundamentals, Theory and Art of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) invites students and 2023 graduates of Lithuanian higher schools of architecture to participate in its annual drawing competition.
2024 competition theme: REINCARNATED ARCHITECTURE.
The deadline for submission of entries is 8 April.
This year's drawing competition invites you to imagine and draw architecture, which has not just one, but a multitude of life cycles, each of which takes on different forms and functions. It is an architecture based on the idea of reincarnation. Reincarnation refers to the continuity of the essence, the substance of the "work", which is independent of the change of its forms. The "belief" in the reincarnation of architecture opens up a world of changing envelopes in which all living and non-living species are in a constant and all-encompassing metamorphosis.
