About Department
The Department of Economics does establish in 2017 after the reorganization of academic departments of the Faculty of Business Management. Prof heads the department Dr Daiva Jurevičienė. The Department of Economic Engineering researches micro and macro-level economic problems and participates in international economic research projects. Currently, the department has four professors, 13 associate professors, one associate professor - partner, six lecturers (five of them have a doctoral degree), and one assistant.

The study programs of the Department of Economic Engineering are characterized by exceptional international opportunities. Upon enrolling in the graduate I degree program in Economic Engineering and choosing the specialization in International Economic Relations, students have the opportunity to get a double degree with Kyungpook National University.
The Department of Economic Engineering trains economics specialists who can model effective economic solutions based on economic logic and the latest knowledge of economics and teaches non-economic university students who acquire financial competencies during their studies, ensuring their ability to compete in the global market. Applying quantitative research methods, databases, and innovative computer programs (SPSS, SAP) in the study process allows me to acquire exceptional economic management and forecasting knowledge and skills.
