VGTU and Cracow University of Technology (Poland) sign an Erasmus+ cooperation agreement
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) signed an Erasmus+ international exchange agreement in the field of civil engineering with the Krakow Technical University (Poland).
The initiative to enter a cooperation agreement for the development of science and studies arose from the collaboration between researchers of the universities.
On 9–13 January 2019, the first teaching visit took place. Lectures to master’s degree students were given by Research Fellow, Assoc. Prof., dr. Jolanta Tamošaitienė from the Institute of Sustainable Construction. The visit also included meetings with the administration of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Krakow Technical University and researchers of the Institute of Construction Management and laboratories of the Institute of Building Materials and Structures. The counterparts discussed various issues of cooperation between the Faculties of Civil Engineering of the Vilnius Gediminas Technical University and Krakow Technical University.
According to the data of 2019, the QS World University Rankings positions Krakow Technical University in places 801–1000.
