Doctoral students from Lithuania and abroad study in the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Most of doctoral study placements in the faculty are state financed although some students financing themselves or are being financed by private companies. The Lithuanian Research Council also provide some additional competition-based funding for doctoral studies.
The doctoral students performing research in four research areas: Civil Engineering (02T), Materials Engineering (08T), Business Management (03S) and Economics (04S). The most of doctoral students in the Faculty of Civil Engineering study in Civil Engineering research area.
10 to 12 doctoral thesis are successfully defended annually. The total number of doctoral students in the faculty is approx. 50.
