AIF and SF students became the newest VILNIUS TECH alumni

During today's ceremony, diplomas were awarded to more than 260 students from the VILNIUS TECH faculties of Environmental engineering (AIF) and Civil engineering (SF).

"This VILNIUS TECH diploma gives you countless opportunities. On your path, you will face new challenges and choices, new technologies, new knowledge. However, I know one thing – our university has prepared you well enough to overcome all difficulties," said Prof. Dr. R. Kliukas while congratulating the new alumni.

The graduates were also congratulated by and received their diplomas from the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, Raminta Radaviciene, who wished them to work on the preservation of Lithuania's nature.

"We are delighted that starting today, so many young construction and environmental engineering specialists will join the development of Lithuania. Your choice of study is very important and perspective, but undoubtedly, it also presents many challenges. Today, both business and the public sector talk a lot about sustainability, the circular economy, and the European Union's Green Deal, so you will need to work and make decisions to preserve Lithuania's nature for future generations," said the Vice-Minister.

Chairman of the VILNIUS TECH Council and CEO of UAB "Kauno tiltai," Aldas Rusevicius, reminded the graduates that their diploma is a guarantee of success and the future of Lithuania. He also invited them to maintain their connections with Alma Mater.

The head of the Lithuanian builders association, Dalius Gedvilas, also congratulated the new specialists.

In his closing speech, a student from the Faculty of Environmental engineering wished his university friends to seek self-discovery. "Society often tells us that we need to become leaders, managers, or directors because that is the pinnacle of our careers. However, I believe it is much more important to seek self-discovery and to do what you do best. This will not only improve your life, but your career path will also unfold more smoothly."

The fourth VILNIUS TECH diploma awarding ceremony was crowned with the important symbolic tradition of moving the tassel on the cap and impressive performances.

On Friday, the final diploma awarding ceremony will take place for the graduates of the Faculty of fundamental sciences.

June 21 (Friday):

10:00 a.m. – Ceremony for bachelor's graduates of the Faculty of fundamental sciences (except for graduates of the Software engineering study program).
1:30 p.m. – Ceremony for master's graduates and bachelor's graduates of the Software engineering study program of the Faculty of fundamental sciences.
