Studying is not only an opportunity to develop professional competences, but also a platform to showcase your skills to society. Every year, the students of the Faculty of Architecture (FA) of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) initiate the GERAS exhibition, during which the most outstanding course projects are awarded. The authors of the best VILNIUS TECH FA projects will be presented on 25 February 2025. 

"In many nations there are harvest or thanksgiving celebrations. In the "nation" of VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Architecture students have a celebration of GERAS, during which the course projects completed during the year are celebrated. This year, for the 16th time, the students are organising an exhibition of the best projects and awards for their authors. We invite you to come, see and enjoy together with the whole community", announces prof. dr. Dalia Dijokienė, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture.

Each year, professors nominate the strongest projects in academic groups. The best ones are displayed in an exhibition, which culminates in a public vote and awards to the nominees. The event is a unique opportunity to see all the projects from the first to the last semesters in the same evening and to get to know the creators. The exhibition showcases the course projects of the Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Industrial Product Design studies.

The awards are organised each year by FA students. The initiative brings together the faculty community, alumni, partners and everyone interested in architecture and design. The GERAS exhibition-awards are an opportunity for young professionals to present themselves to the labour market, to the public and to celebrate their results in the community.

"The GERAS Awards bring together a celebration of creativity, knowledge and achievement. The event, which has become a tradition, encourages students' motivation to strive for higher results, builds self-confidence and allows them to draw inspiration from their colleagues. It is a celebration that shapes an academic culture that recognises not only individual work, but also the collective progress of the students of the Faculty of Architecture," shares Paulina Avižienytė, Chair of the VILNIUS TECH FA Students‘ Representatives.

GERAS 2025 will take place on 25 February 2025. VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Creative Industries (Trakų st. 1, T2, 209). The exhibition will be open from 17:00 and the event starts at 18:00.
