VILNIUS TECH student became the winner of "The Architecture of Becoming"
Augustė Telyčėnaitė, a student of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), is the winner of the architectural drawing competition "The Architecture of Becoming".
In spring 2025, the 10th Architectural Drawing Competition was held, initiated by the Department of Architectural Fundamentals, Theory and Art, prof. dr. Audrius Novickas. The theme of the competition was to imagine architecture and landscapes in movement, in transformation, in a process that does not allow forms to stagnate, to become fully formed and solidified.
The competition was open to students of all levels of architectural studies at Lithuanian higher education institutions and to 2024 graduates of architectural studies. The jury of the competition consisted of VILNIUS TECH alumni Aistė Gaidilionytė, Kamilė Vasiliauskaitė and Raimonda Diskaitė, an alumni of VDA and winner of the first architectural drawing competition.
The winners of the competition were VILNIUS TECH students: 1st place - Augustė Telyčėnaitė; 2nd place - Andrius Tamošiūnas; 3rd place - Bernard Radvilovič. Augustė Telyčėnaitė received a special prize from the travel agency "BPC travel" and an invitation from the VILNIUS TECH Library to organise a solo exhibition.
The jury also selected 7 nominations:
Ina Piščalova for layering;
Erika Mazėtytė for impact;
Emilija Jermolajeva for tenderness;
Lynn Shröder for subtlety;
Ronald Dikinis for expanding the format;
Mija Zamblauskaitė for minimalism;
Robertas Barkauskas for metaphoricity.
The winners and nominees were also awarded prizes by VILNIUS TECH and the publishing house LAPAS.
