Servise of Laboratory
Laboratory tests of reinforced concrete and masonry, structures as well as their connections and junctionsbehavior under short term load. The bending tests can be performed for specimens or structures up 15 m long under static and dynamic loads up to 2000 kN. The compression tests can be done for specimens or structures up to 6 m high under up to 10 000 kN static load and for structures or specimens up to 3 m high under dynamic load up to 2000 kN.The processes are automated for loading and deformation mode maintainingas well as for data acquisition and storage. Part of the testing equipment are exclusive and the only in Baltic region.
Laboratory tests of reinforced concrete and masonry, structures behavior under long term load. Tests of bended elements by static load up to 200 kN and tests of frustrated elements under compressive long term static load up to 1000 kN. The temperature and humidity conditions requirements are ensured in long term tests room.
Buildingsload-bearing structuressubsistencetests. Bending tests of existing buildings and their junctions by static load; evaluation of actual load bearing capacity and other mechanical properties.
The building structures and materials tests for their behavior under high temperatures.
Durability tests of building structures and materials. Testing up to 3 m length constructions and materials under cyclic freezing-thawing effect and aggressive environment. Testing ambient temperature is maintained and changed automatically within the range of .
Mechanical tests of construction connections and materials.
Testing under static and dynamic compressive, tensile, bending and shear loads. Complex of different power and purpose test machines and measuring instruments, witch enables automatically maintain loading and deformation modes, measure and save test data, is used.
Manufacturing of specimens of reinforced concrete constructions and models. Available equipment allows to produce up to 3,5 x 6,5 m dimensions constructions models using various concrete mix mixing and consolidation modes. Produced models dimensions can be easily changed, normal, pre-stressed or disperse reinforcement can be used.
Reliability analysis of building structures.
Development and testing of composite and layered structures.
Creation and testing of new low energy consuming materials and structures. The new low energy consuming materials and structures are being created for new buildings and renovated buildings with following testing of their physical and mechanical properties. Manufacturing and installation technologyare being developed for new materials and structures.
Theoretical investigation and development of structural composites
Research of the buildings and their structures deterioration and improvement of reconstruction and strengthening methods. The building and their structures investigations are performed for the buildings in use with following evaluation of their bearing capacity. The evaluation, strengthening and reconstruction methods are being developed for buildings and their structures.
Increasing the durability of building constructions and its materials. The protection methods are being developed, investigated and recommendations given for structures exposed to external impacts.
Preparation of the construction regulations and normative documents proposals.
Consultancy activity. The analysis and design methods innovations are presented for reinforced concrete and masonry structures. The analysis, materials properties determination methods are being improved for layered and strengthened structures. The probabilistic and statistical methods are being applied for analysis of building structures.
