Engaging more standard bodies and national environmental organizations in the environmental aspects of standardization - ENgage
Researcher: S. Vasarevičius
“Engaging more standard bodies and national environmental organizations in the environmental aspects of standardization - ENgage“, (2018-2022)
Funded by European Commission and EFTA;
The work of the project will include the identification in each participating country of the NGO that is most able to act as the representative of the societal stakeholders. It will be a key role of the NGO to raise awareness among environmental stakeholders and society in general about the importance of environmental aspects in standardisation.

The international programme CA18225 „Taste and Odor in early diagnosis of source and drinking Water Problems
Researcher: E. Marčiulaitienė; D. Paliulis
“The international programme CA18225 „Taste and Odor in early diagnosis of source and drinking Water Problems“ (TOPWATER), 2020-2023.
Funded by European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST)
The main aim of the Action (TOPWATER) is to increase capabilities and capacities in Europe for solving water T&O, by creating the first European network of multi-disciplinary experts, end-users and stakeholders in the field. An “innovation by integration” approach is adopted, incorporating novel cross-sector knowledge transfer from the food sector, new international collaborations, vertical “source to tap” risk assessment strategies and horizontal integration with overlapping sectors, i.e. aquaculture, manufacturers of materials in contact with water, sensors and analytical technologies

Influence of element singleticity in lignocellulosic raw material on adsorption properties of biochar
Researcher: E. Baltrėnaitė-Gedienė; L. Usevičiūtė; E. Marčiulaitienė; M. Pranskevičius
“Influence of element singleticity in lignocellulosic raw material on adsorption properties of biochar“, 2017-2019
Funding source: Lithuanian Science Council.
The aim of this project was to provide a comprehensive review of recent research findings and theory developments on the existing modifications of biochar for adsorption of potentially toxic elements from aqueous solutions. Factors affecting adsorption of potentially toxic elements by lignocellulosic biochar and modification techniques for lignocellulosic biochar towards enhanced adsorption of potentially toxic elements were analyzed.

The international programme TD15125 “Designs for Noise Reducing Materials and Structures (DENORMS)”
Researcher: R. Grubliauskas
“The international programme TD15125 “Designs for Noise Reducing Materials and Structures (DENORMS)“, (2016–2020).
Funded by European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST)
New acoustical materials/structures offer significant possibilities for noise and vibration control, together with good thermal insulation performance, the industries are not always aware of this and many of their benefits still need to find practical applications. The whole Action relies on and promotes the cooperation of multidisciplinary teams of theoreticians, experimentalists and their industrial partners.
