Additional Admission for Doctoral Studies Has Begun

The application period for the additional admission to doctoral studies begins today – applications will be accepted until 3:00 PM on September 16th.

The purpose of doctoral (PhD) studies is to train researchers capable of independently conducting research and experimental development and solving scientific problems. The duration of full-time doctoral studies is up to 4 years, while part-time studies last up to 6 years. Both full-time and part-time doctoral studies can be state-funded. Full-time studies can also be financed by EU structural funds, whereas part-time studies can be funded by the student's own finances (or those of a sponsoring institution).

Currently, additional admission is open for positions in the following doctoral fields of study:
  • Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Civil Engineering.
  • Transport Engineering.
  • Informatics.
  • Informatics Engineering.
  • Mechanical Engineering.
  • Management.
  • Communication and Information.
Individuals holding a Master's degree or an equivalent higher education qualification, and who meet the other requirements specified in the Regulations for Admission to Doctoral Studies, are eligible to apply.
The main selection criteria for doctoral applicants are:
  • The applicant's research output (articles, conference presentations, and their relevance to the proposed dissertation topic);
  • The weighted average of grades from Master's or equivalent studies and the evaluation of the final thesis;
  • The score received during the admission interview with the doctoral committee for the relevant field of science.
