Yesterday, a delegation from Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), which included the President of the University Prof. Sea-Fue Wang, the Vice President Prof. Chung-Kuang Yang, the Dean of Office of Research and Development Prof. Ho-Chiao Chuang, and the Dean of Office of International Affairs Prof. Tun-Wen Pai, visited VILNIUS TECH. The Director of Science and Technology Division at the Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania Prof. Da-Chuan Cheng also joined the guest delegation.

During the meeting with VILNIUS TECH leadership, which included the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Prof. Dr. Dalius Navakauskas, the Vice-Rector for Studies Assoc. Prof. Dr. Živilė Sederevičiūtė-Pačiauskienė, the Vice-Rector for Strategic Partnership Dr. Adas Meškėnas, and the Director of International Relations Office Aušra Peledienė, opportunities to expand cooperation between the two universities were discussed.

"Our countries are actively developing scientific and technological cooperation. We should also enhance the partnership between universities in both countries and work together to move forward," said Živilė Sederevičiūtė-Pačiauskienė during the meeting.

The universities discussed opportunities for collaboration in scientific research, as well as the possibilities of double degree study programs, short-term Problem-Based Learning courses, and faculty and student mobility. Both universities shared their priority research areas and spoke about information technology and cybersecurity, electronics, mechanical engineering, biotechnology, as well as touching on architecture, aerospace, and aviation topics.

Later, the delegation from Taipei Tech attended a meeting at the Faculty of Mechanics, where they discussed in greater detail joint scientific research and possible double degree study programs with representatives of the faculty.
