We invite you to Agna Petkevičiūtė’s artworks exhibition „Between Life and Death: Sketches of Everyday Life“ at Gallery A.
"This is the second personal exhibition, consisting of two parts: paintings that capture various fragments of life and three-dimensional graphic works reflecting inner world visualizations. The exhibition as a whole leads on a journey, exploring unique life moments and inner moods. It is an invitation to pause in an ever-accelerating world, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, and to pay attention to the multi-layered, multidimensional world—to delve into what is unnoticed, unfelt, and unseen. Here, monochromatic and polychromatic palettes intertwine, the third and fourth dimensions – space and time – come into play, and at the same time, everything is brought to a halt-to listen, to observe, to see, and to feel," says the exhibition’s author, Agna Petkevičiūtė, a third-year student at the Faculty of Architecture at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH).
Agna Petkevičiūtė (b. 2003) was born and raised in Vilnius. She spent most of her life in the Šnipiškės neighborhood, which became one of the key factors shaping her worldview. Elements of Šnipiškės and the questions they evoke can also be seen in her work. Her first personal exhibition, Šnipiškės House of Cards, was her final project at Vilnius J. Vienožinskis Art School, created under the supervision of Professor A. Novickas and exhibited at the Wooden City Architecture Museum in the summer of 2022.
