A publication – “6 Steps for Innovation”
A publication – “6 Steps for Innovation” - a set of counselling tools for all stakeholders and institutions prepared by SNOwMan project participants has been published.
The book demonstrates the journey of the SNOwMan project and the process towards the final product – the 6-step process to help the intermediaries in their collaboration with owner-managers. The book introduces the reader to each step and thoroughly demonstrates how the intermediaries can apply the process in their work. The six dimensions include 1) Introduction, 2) Visions, 3) Identification of Challenges and Needs 4), Strategy and the Action Plan 5), Operationalization and 6) Measuring and Evaluating Outputs.
The reader will also find methodological discussions in the book; the presentation of the questionnaire and interviews used for gathering challenges related to the current counselling practices in the four partner countries (Denmark, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania). Besides, the book discusses and presents the procedure of the 6-step process towards supporting non-technological innovation recurrent evaluation and its outputs. Perhaps the most crucial focus of the 6-step consultation process and this book - identification of challenges and needs of SMEs, which is done with the help of the Spider Web tool developed by the project participants.
The book also briefly presents the success stories of two Finnish SMEs. Higher education institutions from all four countries and the Hana Parliament (Germany) took part in its preparation. The book was published at the Gdańsk University of Technology. Tomas Mitkus illustrated the book. „6 Steps for Innovation“ is published in paper and electronic version; it consists of 60 pages.
