A researcher at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt has visited VGTU
On 5th of September a researcher at the Academy of Scienfific Research and Technology (ASRT) in Egypt and a coordinator of solar energy clusters Mona Elrawi has visited Vilnius Gediminas‘ technical university (VGTU). The aim of the visit – to meet the students and to introduce the CLUSDEVMED Project. The manager of this project in Lithuania is prof. Manuela Tvaronavičienė.
Lecturer Kristina Razminienė has invited the students to listen to the presentation of a researcher Mona Elrawi about the HORIZON 2020 project the CLUSDEVMED which involve the development of clusters in the Mediterranean Area.
International clusters cooperation enables to gain scientific and technological potential, increase competitiveness, support regional socio-economic development, strengthen the market entry of new and innovative products. Despite the limitations of resources, capabilities and funding towards cooperation, there are more than 2000 clusters in all the sectors in EU which are able to create cross-sectorial framework, related clusters and networks in the Mediterranean countries.
The CLUSDEVMED project aims to create conditions to strengthen clusters which are active in the Mediterranean area based on the experience and policy of other EU countries aiming at bringing the interested parties towards the solutions of food-water-energy problems.
The project is funded by the European Union under Horizon 2020 Programme, Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions under the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange scheme (RISE).
