Simona Bačkienė, Account Manager at Nasdaq Vilnius, a long term employee, shared her understanding of the role of stock exchange. Simona is responsible for the Issuer Services, so on a daily basis she interacts with corporate clients, do sales work to promote exchange and attract new listings, run projects, organize client events, handle investor education activities.

 

During the lesson students heard about the main functions of Nasdaq Vilnius exchange which are transaction services, issuer services, member services, information services and market surveillance. They were acquainted with the main customers of Nasdaq Vilnius which are listed companies, stock exchange members and information vendors. Simona made everyone even more sure that the Baltic exchanges operate a single Baltic securities market and more other details about Nasdaq.
