Ten years ago, in 2015, Jon Snow died, and many Game of Thrones fans’ pillows were soaked with tears. That same year, the internet was transfixed by that dress – and, even worse, it split people into two camps: some saw it as black and blue, others as white and gold. Even today, there’s still no single answer. When the world wasn’t crying over Jon Snow or arguing about the dress, it was listening to Adele – her song Hello broke records and was playing everywhere, from public spaces to our own headphones. At the same time, Lithuania said goodbye to the litas and adopted the euro – do you still remember the exchange rate, 3.4528 litas for one euro?Meanwhile, Star Wars fans, munching on popcorn in packed cinemas, celebrated the release of a new film – Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

We believe all our fans will agree that these world events of 2015 pale in comparison to the most important and meaningful one of all – the opening of VILNIUS TECH “LinkMenų fabrikas”!

The university’s creativity and innovation centre, which opened its doors ten years ago, has since fostered collaboration between students, businesses, artists, and all kinds of creators – sometimes loudly, sometimes more quietly, but always striving to be by their side.

We don’t want to come across as overly sentimental (even though we are turning 10), so we’re setting the nostalgia aside and announcing: we’ll be celebrating our birthday all year long!

Does this mean lots of cake? Possibly. But even more – countless opportunities to meet, connect, learn something new, or create together!
