The visit aimed to acquire new knowledge of pedagogical practice and feedback that will be applied during lectures and in preparing the doctoral dissertation. During the International Project Week, lecturer Gabrielė Radavičiūtė delivered 8-hour lectures in English at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer. The interactive lectures were based on the topic of her future doctoral dissertation, "The Impact of Social Networks on Supply Chain Management." Discussions during the lectures revolved around the increasing importance of social networks in global supply chain management due to changes caused by the pandemic, wars in Ukraine and Israel, and the positive and negative impacts of social media on supply chain management, including phenomena such as "cancel culture," "fake news," and others. The lecturer also presented case studies from the food, fashion, and cosmetics industries.
Gabrielė Radavičiūtė and other foreign lecturers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, its students, administrative staff, and other invited foreign lecturers from Spain, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Latvia, Romania, Albania, and Turkey. Invited lecturers utilized the opportunity to establish mutual connections and discuss potential cooperation opportunities while exploring the North German region - East Frisia - near the North Sea. During free time from lectures, professors and university administration introduced their respective countries and represented universities, activities, and dishes symbolizing their countries. They also visited the most famous places in Emden and Leer cities: the Leer Miniature Museum, the Bünting Tea Museum, and the Emden Art Gallery.
The Faculty of Business Studies at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer conducted an "International Project Week" during the spring semester of 2024.
