Educational Hub Established at VILNIUS TECH to Empower Migrant Entrepreneurs
An Educational hub has been established at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) Knowledge and Technology Transfer Centre (Sauletekio av. 11, room 801, Vilnius, Lithuania), as part of the European Union co-funded "PatENT" Project. This hub is dedicated to providing migrants with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to start their own businesses and protect their innovative ideas through patenting.
A Comprehensive Support System for Migrant Entrepreneurs
The PatENT Project Educational hub at VILNIUS TECH is designed to serve as a structured learning environment for migrants interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. The hub offers targeted workshops, mentoring, and access to resources on business development and intellectual property protection. Additionally, the hub addresses the specific needs of migrant entrepreneurs by offering information and guidance on securing funding, navigating the patenting process, and understanding legal regulations.
The primary objective is to create an inclusive space where participants can engage in hands-on learning, gain practical business skills, and access professional support. The hub also showcases positive examples of successful migrant entrepreneurs through case studies, providing inspiration and practical insights into how entrepreneurship can overcome social and economic barriers.
Key Features of the Educational Hub
The Educational hub at VILNIUS TECH provides the following services:
- Workshops or Training Sessions: Focused on topics such as entrepreneurship basics, intellectual property rights, patenting processes, and strategies for securing business funding.
- One-on-One Mentoring: Personalised guidance from experienced mentors, assisting participants in refining their business ideas and navigating the entrepreneurial landscape.
- Access to Resources: Information on local and international funding opportunities, networking events to facilitate business development.
- Showcases of Success: Real-life stories and examples of successful migrant entrepreneurs.
Promoting Long-Term Impact and Sustainability
The aim is for the hub to become a continuous part of the services offered by the university, supporting both local and international students, entrepreneurs, and the broader community.
This initiative aligns with VILNIUS TECH’s commitment to fostering innovation and inclusivity in the academic and business sectors. By providing tailored support to migrant entrepreneurs, the Educational hub contributes to building a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem in Lithuania, promoting economic integration and social inclusion.
The hub is now operational and accepting participants. For more information about upcoming workshops and activities, contact the hub via crypt:PGEgaHJlZj0ibWFpbHRvOnR0b0B2aWxuaXVzdGVjaC5sdCI+ZW1haWwuPC9hPg==:xx
