European Educators Explore Innovation and Digital Transformation at VILNIUS TECH
Last week, VILNIUS TECH – Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, together with its Knowledge and Technology Transfer Centre, hosted 30 educators, trainers, and youth workers from across Europe for a 10-day study visit under the Erasmus+ project DRUPWB (Digital Response to Unemployment Problems in Western Balkans).
The study visit focused on inclusive education, digital transformation in vocational education and training (VET), and the integration of innovation through STEAM and sustainability. Throughout the programme, participants explored Lithuania’s leading initiatives in digitalisation and entrepreneurship, gaining insights into effective educational practices and collaborative innovation models.
The group visited several key innovation ecosystems, including Sunrise Tech Park, VILNIUS TECH Sustainability HUB, Manufacturing Innovation Valley, Visoriai Information Technology Park (VITP), and the Innovation Agency Lithuania. These visits provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, explore new tools and methods for upskilling youth and adults, and strengthen international cooperation within the European education and innovation landscape.
The DRUPWB project aims to address unemployment challenges in the Western Balkans by fostering digital skills, supporting entrepreneurial initiatives, and promoting new learning pathways for educators and learners alike.
VILNIUS TECH extends its gratitude to all partners and institutions involved for their contributions to this collaborative and forward-looking exchange of ideas.
