FBM Launches Horizon Project “X-HuLog4.0”
On July 1st of this year, the Faculty of Business Management launched the research project “Excellence in Human-Centered Logistics 4.0” (X-HuLog4.0), funded by the European Union under the HORIZON-CSA program. The project aims to define strategies for building capabilities and establishing networks in the area of Logistics 4.0 and to deepen knowledge in the field of human-centered logistics systems, thereby contributing to the advancement and adoption of best warehousing practices across Europe. The project is led by Prof. Dr. Aurelija Burinskienė from the Department of Business Technologies and Entrepreneurship.
VILNIUS TECH, the project coordinator, will pursue the project’s goals in collaboration with internationally leading research institutions – the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and Saarland University.

VILNIUS TECH, the project coordinator, will pursue the project’s goals in collaboration with internationally leading research institutions – the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, the Technical University of Darmstadt, and Saarland University.
The objectives of the X-HuLog4.0 project are:
- To increase the research and educational capabilities in human-centered logistics at VILNIUS TECH and supporting partners;
- To establish long-term knowledge transfer among participating countries, with a special focus on young researchers;
- To encourage connections among researchers from partner universities and other leading research institutes and promote networking;
- To enable VILNIUS TECH to act as a knowledge center, providing modern methodologies, logistics tools, and solutions in human-centered logistics to transfer knowledge to widening and associated countries;
- To increase industry and society awareness about human-centered logistics and the value of close collaboration with academia;
- To foster scientific advancements through publications, patents, research programs, and the development of new products or services.
