8-12 May 2017 the guest professor from School of Engineering, Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay professor Claudio RUIBAL were invited by prof. dr. Vida Davidavičienė to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) Department of Business technologies. Professor research interests are optimization, quantitative methods and costs. His doctoral thesis is a study of the variability of power prices in deregulated electricity markets.

 

He is a Member of the National Council of Innovation, Science and Technology (CONICYT, the acronym in Spanish) since 2012. He founded and participates at the Engineering Innovation Center Board (CII, the acronym in Spanish), together with other three Deans of Uruguayan Engineering Schools.

 

At VGTU he presented course of Decision analysis, Linear optimization. Lectures were provided for students of Management Faculty (study programs of Economic engineering, Business logistic, Business management).
