International Scientific Conference “Business and Management '2018”
The 10th International Scientific Conference 'Business and Management '2018 was held at the Faculty of Business Management at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University on May 3–4, 2018.
The Conference gave the floor to researchers from 35 countries: Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, USA, Iran, Poland, Latvia, China, Portugal, Malaysia, etc. There were 85 presentations delivered and the total number of participants reached 299.
International Scientific Committee from 104 submitted articles selected the best meeting the highest scientific standards. Articles will be published in the scientific journals that are as follows:
- Journal of Business Economics and Management;
- Business: Theory and Practice;
- Journal of Business, Management and Education;
- Open Economics.
The conference was a two-day meeting. The first day consisted of plenary meeting and work in sections. At the plenary meeting following presentations were delivered:
- Assoc Prof Dr Robert Savickas „ECONOMIC AND CORPORATE GROWTH, TECHNOLOGY, GOAL-BASED PORTFOLIOS, AND ASSET PRICING“ (The George Washington University, USA)
- Dr Povilas Lastauskas „GLOBAL SPILLOVER EFFECTS OF VOLATILITY SHOCKS“ (Bank of Lithuania, Lithuania)
- Prof Dr Maurizio Pompella „FINANCIAL INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT OVER THE LATEST DECADES. GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS 10 YEARS LATER“ (University of Siena, Italy)
After the plenary meeting participants presented their research results in five sections:
1. Contemporary Issues in Economics Engineering
2. Business Technologies and Sustainable Entrepreneurship
3. Social, Legal and Economic Business Environment
4. Contemporary Business Management: Challenges and Opportunities
5. Financial Engineering
On the second day of the conference (May 4th), the participants of the conference visited VGTU „LinkMenų fabrikas“ and the exhibition „Unforgettable Futures: Visions for Lithuania's Centenary“.
The Faculty of Business Management organizes three scientific conferences:

Lithuanian Conference of Young Scientists 'Science - Future of Lithuania. Business in XXI century'.
Participation at the conferences is a great opportunity to meet researchers, colleagues and to create new relations for possible cooperation.
