The Erasmus+ project Women Empowered in Construction (WEC) has launched a Digital Wall of Support – a visible sign of solidarity for women and allies across the construction sector. The wall reflects the project’s wider mission to tackle labour shortages and persistent gender inequality through innovative vocational education and training (VET). 

 

So how does it work? Each supporter adds a “brick” to the wall with their name and (optionally) a short quote or message. Together, these bricks represent resilience, connection, and strength – and help show the growing momentum for a more inclusive construction industry. The WEC consortium aims to reach 500 signatures from individuals and organisations committed to equality and diversity in the sector. 

 

VILNIUS TECH, as a partner of the WEC project, invites our university community and industry network to take part. Signing is simple: submit your name, email, country, role (or connection to construction), and gender, and add a message if you wish. The wall will continue to grow month by month and will be promoted through the WEC website, newsletters, and social media – helping amplify the voices supporting change.
