Lecture by T. Lerher: „Application of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) in Logistics, new industry concept“
The department of Business Technologies invited prof. Tone Lerher to give guest lecture on the 3rd of May, 2017 at 16:20 in SRK-I 211, where professor will introduce warehouse management system used in Slovenia.
Tone Lerher is the member of professional associations: Association of Mechanical Engineers, Slovenian Institute for Standardization, Association of University Professors, Verein Netzwerk Logistik Austria, etc.
The development trend of intralogistics, in a variety of industries, is based on the development of new technologies, the introduction of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), the concept of the "Internet of Things" (IoT) and the concept of Industry 4.0. The guest lecturer will talk about this landscape. These elements together create the condition for new possibilities and dimensions in manufacturing systems.
The lecture is for community, which is aiming to know about newest information systems and their possibilities for manufacturing.
