The guests are invited by Department of Financial Engineering.

CATALYST is an international and fast becoming the leading independent consulting firm specializing exclusively in financial services. Their advisory and consulting capabilities are uniquely coupled with learning and development expertise. They accelerate business, technology, operational and human performance.

Mr. Christian Lee is responsible for heading up the Clearing, Risk and Regulatory capability group. He has led and overseen multiple assignments for many exchanges and CCPs across the globe providing advice on how to implement clearing strategies. He also provides regulatory support to the various change programmes underway at clients. The combination of hands on practical experience combined with the knowledge of the key risk & regulatory technologies (including regtech) implemented across the banks operating models has allowed Paul to better understand the key processes and workflows impacting their day-to-day operations. His product knowledge spans across fixed income, derivatives/structured credit, equities through to alternative investments.

In the lecture you will learn more about The Global Financial Crisis, how did it compare to the Great Depression and what was the real impact. You learn more on how did it come about, more about poor understanding of the risks around newly created instruments, etc.
In addition, the topics of new risks, new business models, shadow banking and Brexit will be discussed.

Welcome all who are interested or want to know more about threats and opportunities in financial markets.

Moderator of lecturer - doc. dr. Algita Miečinskienė.
