Lecturer Giedrius Cyras visited the Malayer University
On February 17 - February 25 - Giedrius Cyras, lecturer at the Department of Business Technology and Entrepreneurship at the Business Management Faculty of Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) was visiting the Malayer University in the Islamic Republic of Iran under the Erasmus + Agreement.
Teaching subjects:
The aim of the visit was to improve the quality of the teaching program and to acquire new pedagogical practice knowledge. Visit was supervised by Professor Muhammad Piri and it was taught at the Business Management Faculty, for Management Course students. The professors had discussion about the general aspects of the subject both are teaching, the possibilities for program development and good practice examples. The professor's M. Piri responding visit to VGTU was agreed for 15 May 2019. - May 25th with the purpose of teaching for Business Logistics, Organization Management and Business Management courses. The guidelines for a joint project analyzing aspects of branding in Iran were discussed, with a task to plan and organize further project implementation after the professor will arrive in Lithuania.
Another goal of the visit was to search for potential university partners. Lecturer did visited Ghezel Protein Gamasiab company. After discussing the production chain, it has been noticed that the company does not apply waste recovery solutions; examples of successful practices from analogue Baltic companies have been proposed. Another company visited JOWZAN TAAK is engaged in the production and export of dried fruits. During the meeting it was found that the company does not apply appropriate EU packaging, labeling solutions, does not know the requirements. At the same time, the creation and certification of a Ecological production line has been proposed using examples of successful practices from companies in the Baltic region.
Giedrius Cyras discussed possible areas of cooperation and opportunities for joint publications with faculty members. During the visit, he met with Rector of the University Dr Kh. Sayvand, Vice-Rector for Foreign Affairs Milad Manafi, Dean of the Faculty of Management Dr Rasoul Ahmadifar and other faculty teachers. Conferences and magazines organized by VGTU BMF were presented during the meetings. Opportunities for co-operation and joint publications were discussed for the conference “Business and Management 2020”.
