Members of the business management faculty community receive VILNIUS TECH best research paper awards
We are delighted to announce the successful participation of members of our Business Management Faculty community in the VILNIUS TECH Best Research Paper competition, which evaluated research papers published in 2023 in prestigious international journals ranked in the top Q1 and Q2 quartiles according to the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The competition reviewed papers from 15 different academic fields, with an impressive 72 papers receiving awards. Researchers from our faculty stood out in the categories of Management and Economics, earning prizes for innovative research related to sustainability, circular economy, and business innovations.
The competition was organized by the VILNIUS TECH Science Directorate, and the papers were evaluated by a qualified committee chaired by VILNIUS TECH Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation, Prof. Dr. D. Navakauskas. The assessment focused on the significance, originality, and international impact of the research.

In the Management category:
- First place was awarded to Çipi Amali, Ana Cláudia R.D. Fernandes, Fernando A.F. Ferreira, Neuza C.M.Q.F. Ferreira, and Ieva Meidutė Kavaliauskienė for their paper "Detecting and developing new business opportunities in society 5.0 contexts: A sociotechnical approach," published in the Technology in Society journal (Q1 quartile).
- Second place was awarded to Ilona Skačkauskienė and Neringa Vilkaitė-Vaitonė for their paper "Green marketing and customers’ purchasing behavior: A systematic literature review for future research agenda," published in the Energies journal (Q3 quartile).
- First place was awarded to Ugnius Jakubelskas and Viktorija Skvarciany for their paper "Circular economy practices as a tool for sustainable development in the context of renewable energy: What are the opportunities for the EU?" published in the Oeconomia Copernicana journal (Q1 quartile).
- Third place was awarded to Mindaugas Butkus, Alma Mačiulytė-Šniukienė, and Kristina Matuzevičiūtė for their paper "Transport infrastructure investments as a factor of economic growth of European Union countries," published in the TalTech Journal of European Studies journal (Q1 quartile).
