Study Quality Improvement in Faculty of Business Management (Study Programme Economics Engineering)
In May 2017, the students, teachers and employers’ opinion poll on the implementation of the Economics Engineering study programme was organized. 100 students, 106 teachers and 20 employers and social partners participated in the survey the results of which are representative and reliable. The analysis of the survey results reveals the popularity of the current study programme, public awareness and compliance of professional requirements with employer expectations.
The students of all courses rated the quality and organization of the Programme as very high. 100% of the respondents agree that teaching methods applied for course units allow achieving the learning outcomes of the study programme.99% of the respondents agree that the content of the study subjects taught in the programme is in the line to the today’s realities. 98% confirms that the content of the subjects taught in the programme meets their expectations and more than 95% of the respondents agree that teaching methods applied for course units allow achieving the learning outcomes of the study programme.
Students appreciate the teachers very well – an absolute majority of the surveyed participants state that the qualification of teachers is sufficient to convey the learning outcomes of the course units expected in the Programme. 97% of the students appreciate that teachers have sufficient expertise and knowledge. 99% of students’ state that the premises for studies are appropriate and suitable for use. The major part of students greatly appreciate equipment and methodological resources employed for studies. 99% of participants accept that methodological resources (books, periodicals, databases, etc.) are suitable, accessible and sufficient for studies. Also, total majority agrees that the students of the study programme have all conditions to participate in the mobility programmes.
Teacher evaluation of implementing the study programme is also very positive. 100% of teachers claim that Programme title, foreseen outcomes and content and awarded qualification are interrelated and course units are distributed consistently in the term. All surveyed teachers agree that goals of the study programme are based on professional and markets requirements and the teaching methods they use allows achieving the learning outcomes specified in the study programme. 100% of teachers agree that their teaching methods are oriented to student activity and initiative in the classroom. Teachers are very positive appreciative of the suitability of study rooms and methodological resources. Absolute majority states that the research carried out at the Faculty of Business Management is related to the implemented study program.
Employers and social partners evaluate the Economics Engineering study programme very positively, participate in the process of this study Programme as participants’ in practical works or lectures and intend to continue wide cooperation. All of them agree that the goals and learning outcomes of the study programme are based on professional requirements. 100% of employers and social partners admit that the goals and learning outcomes of the study programme satisfy requirements for the Bachelor’s/Master's degree qualification in Management and would accept the students involved in the programme for introductory and training practice.
The international peer review of the study programme of Economics Engineering will be held 17th of October.
