The guest speaker Araceli González Crespán will present the topic “The effect of culture in business communication”. Speaker will discuss the concept of culture and its features as well as cultural bias as a starting point to present its effects in business communication, particularly in today's interconnected, global world. As Araceli González Crespán is an Associate Professor of English Philology at the University of Vigo, she will shortly present he Degree in Commerce, the Faculty of Commerce and the University of Vigo.

About Speaker: Araceli González Crespán is an Associate Professor of English Philology at the University of Vigo. She has broad faculty experience in the Business Studies School of the university where she lectures on Commercial and Business English both at undergraduate and graduate level. Her experience in the Master's Degree in International Commerce follows on from experience gained with previous collaboration on other postgraduate courses (Master of Tourism and Master in Financial Management) as well as organising and lecturing in training courses. She is also Subdirector of Exchanges and Communication at the Business School/Faculty of Commerce and has participated in numerous exchange programmes between European universities (Université de Pau, University of Abertay, Hochschule Bochum, Université de Pau, University of Mostar...) and in the USA (Butler University). Her research activity is focused on modern North American theatre. She has published a monograph, various chapters on different volumes and articles in academic journals.
