The project of Economic Integration of the Nordic-Baltic Region through Labour, Innovation, Investments and Trade (LIFT)
On 23 November 2022 a meeting of the members of the project Economic Integration of the Nordic-Baltic Region through Labour, Innovation, Investments and Trade (LIFT) consortium took place. The results of the second year of the project implementation were discussed during the meeting as well as the program of the webinar planned for 16 December was presented.
Three sessions are planned at the event, during which researchers will make presentations and discussions will be held with invited experts. Mihails Hazans (University of Latvia, Latvia), Nicolas Gavoille (University of Latvia, Latvia), Liss Roosaar (University of Tartu, Estonia), Jaan Masso (University of Tartu, Estonia), Rasmus Bøgh Holmen (Institute of Transport Economics, Norway) will present their work on the session "Labour market developments in the Nordic-Baltic region" and the invited discussant is Kadri Männasoo (TalTech, Estonia). In the second session "Factors of firm performance - trade, FDI, innovation" it will be possible to hear Jaan Masso (Tartu University, Estonia), Amaresh Tiwari (Tartu University, Estonia), Giedrė Lapinskienė (Vilnius Gediminas’ University of Technology, Lithuania), Askold Podviezko (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania), Manuela Tvaronavičienė (Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania), Per Botolf Maurset (Institute of Transport Economics, Norway) and the discussion will be led by Konstantins Benkovskis (Bank of Latvia, Latvia). Rasmus Bøgh Holmen (Institute of Transport Economics, Norway), Luca Alfieri (Tartu University, Estonia), Anastasia Sinitsyna (Tartu University, Estonia), Agnė Šimelytė (Vilnius Gediminas University of Technology, Lithuania) will speak in the third session "Regional integration in Baltic and Nordic countries", the discussion will be coordinated by Valdonė Darškuvienė (ISM University of Management and Economics).
