VGTU community has an exceptional possibility to use MATLAB, Simulink and the full suite of products
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU) now has a Total Academic Headcount License for MATLAB, Simulink and the full suite of products available to faculty, academic researchers and students. VGTU aims to use as many applications and tools as possible that are currently used in the modern industry and the university is committed to continuous improvement of study process; thus, this is an important step towards further digitalisation of teaching and learning environments. VGTU is the first university in Lithuania and the second in the Baltic countries to have the full suite of the software.
This option provides the widest and most up-to-date array of products (about 100 MATLAB, SIMULINK and 48 add-on toolboxes). The software can be used for design, modelling, data analysis, code generation, product testing etc. in many areas, including technology, engineering, business and economics.
University students and employees can download and install these products on their university computers as well as their personally-owned computers. The access to software is through a special portal, by logging in with the regular VGTU login data. When an account is created on the portal, the users get an individual licence and are eligible to download and install the necessary toolboxes. The portal’s newsletter service provides support and additional information on the products.
As part of the MATLAB site license, all faculty, staff, and students have full access to the online training courses in MATLAB Academy - at no extra cost. These courses and many other MATLAB resources are accessible through the MATLAB portal. MATLAB can be used on iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
