VGTU member gave lectures at International Teaching Week in Kavala
Representative from the Faculty of Business Management, lecturer of the Department of Law, Raimonda Bubliene participated in the 2nd International Teaching Week Erasmus+ in Kavala (Greece). International teaching week was organized by the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology on May 15-19, 2017.
The aim of the visit was to participate at 2nd International Teaching Week to meet with the heads of Shool of Business and Economics, also with students and other members of the academic community aiming to increase awareness about Lithuania and VGTU and to present opportunities for cooperation; as well as to introduce students to encourage interdisciplinary interest themes and attend part-time studies at the Faculty of Business Management.
VGTU representative met academic staff from the Shool of Business and Economics, also Erasmus+ coordinators, to discuss wide student exchange opportunities, also gave lectures on law, to students and academics. Given lectures were attended by 60 students from different countries – Erasmus+ and local students. The students presented high logical and critical thinking, also high motivation to acquire knowledge.
Lecturer participated in the meetings with all the lecturers that participated in the international teaching week. During the meetings Raimonda Bubliene established cooperative relations with representatives of the institutions and discussed an inter institutional cooperation. The event was attended by 14 participants, among them were participants from 8 countries, such as Germany, Austria, Norway, Hungary and other countries.
The participants expressed a positive attitude towards a bilateral cooperation agreement between their institutions and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
The Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology was founded in Kavala in 1976. Besides its main facilities, some of the Institute’s schools operate in the Campus of Drama and the Campus of Didymoteicho.
Concerning its educational role, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology is constituted of the following four schools (nine departments) which delimit its activities range: School of Business and Economics; School of Agricultural Technology; School of Health and Welfare and School of Technological Engineering.
