VILNIUS TECH Hosts Industry Meetings to Bridge Education and Labour Market Needs under Erasmus+ Project DRUPWB
On October 8, 2025, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), through its Knowledge and Technology Transfer Centre, hosted a series of local-level meetings as part of the Erasmus+ project DRUPWB (Digital Response to Unemployment Problems in Western Balkans). The event gathered representatives from leading Lithuanian and international organisations to discuss ways of strengthening the connection between education, digital innovation, and employability.
During the collective session, participants were introduced to the project’s main educational outputs – the D2.2 Curriculum and the Digital HUB, an online learning platform featuring four modular training programmes: Virtual Assistance, Self-Employment, No-Code Programming, and Small Business Development. These modules aim to enhance digital competencies, entrepreneurial thinking, and innovation capacity across various sectors.
Following the presentation, participants engaged in targeted discussions on how the DRUPWB tools could be integrated into employee training, corporate learning systems, and collaborative educational initiatives. Feedback highlighted the project’s strong potential to bridge gaps between vocational education and evolving labour market needs.
Participants praised the project’s relevance and suggested several ways to maximise its long-term impact – including simplifying access to the Digital HUB for first-time users, broadening dissemination to business associations and innovation clusters, and developing clear guidelines for organisations interested in adopting the curriculum.
The meetings concluded with a shared commitment to continue collaboration between VILNIUS TECH, industry partners, and the DRUPWB consortium to ensure the sustainability and practical application of the project’s results across Europe.
