About Creative Technologies Lab
VILNIUS TECH Creative Technologies Lab is an art laboratory located in the Old Town of Vilnius, in Tiškevičiai Palace. The Laboratory with all the latest equipment is open to VILNIUS TECH Faculty of Creative Industries students. The Laboratory’s staff can help with activities in fields such as photography, media, sound recording, and filmmaking. Furthermore, the laboratory does broadcasts of various events and hosts podcasts. The key aim of the laboratory is to consult and give out the necessary equipment to the students for their assignments and projects supervised by the Faculty of Creative Industries. This leads to the development of students’ skills that are necessary for their future careers.

INFORMATION FOR THE TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN "MARCH OF CINEMA 2024"

Assemble a team of 3-5 VILNIUS TECH KIF students (producer, director, video operator, sound designer, editor) + actors. Also, you can use the help of experienced filmmakers, hire professional actors.

Complete the challenge team form

Film a short film and submit it to the judging panel by March 29th.
ATTENTION!Students without a team (or the team lacks members) - we invite you to actively fill out the form and find each other!

The duration of the short film is 5-10 min.
-
The video and audio material used to produce the film must be used legally.
-
The format must be 1080p 24fps (FULL HD).

The film must be submitted with a short description and a poster of the film (4961 x 3508 px) in JPG or PNG format.

Information about the submission of the video project will be sent to the teams that have filled out the registration form.
THE AWARDS CEREMONY WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 05!
Short films will be evaluated by members of the commission - experienced professionals in the world of cinema. This will give every participant of the festival the opportunity to expand their circle of acquaintances in the field of the film industry. After completing their studies, they will increase chances of getting a job with famous Lithuanian and foreign specialists in the field of film industry, and it will fill their portfolio with diplomas, certificates and creative works.

His films have been selected for a number of prestigious film festivals including Berlinale Co-Production Market, CineLink, ALBAScript ir Cineuropa, TIFForm ir Torino Film Lab. Saimir is the director and co-screenwriter of the feature documentary film: „Decadent Nr. 2419“ –Tomas Venclova (2022).

Equipment list
IMPORTANT! LABORATORY RULES:
- This equipment is only issued to students belonging to Vilnius Tech Faculty of Creative Industries.
- Reservations for equipment will be accepted if the reservation is made at least three days before the equipment is due to be checked out.
- Equipment is issued for a maximum period of three working days.
- If the equipment is not returned at the time specified in your booking (Day / Hour / Minute), you will have your grade reduced and may not be issued with the equipment again (unless there is a justifiable reason).
- Equipment is dropped off and returned on weekdays (Monday - Friday) between 10:00 and 16:00. Equipment returned at 16:00 will be treated as late.
- In case the requested equipment is reserved or taken by another group, the laboratory will offer you alternative equipment.
- When filling in the booking form, use the codes that are written under the "Item" column (M1, M2...; V3, V4...).
How to book the necessary equipment?
- Read the rules.
- Check the items from the equipment list.
- Fill in the reservation FORM.
- The technician will contact and inform you about the nearest available time frame for getting your requested items.
